Microplastics survey — no experience needed

Want to help inform plastic pollution prevention policies? We’re holding an impromptu microplastics survey on Thursday June 8th starting around 2:30!
We will park in a lot near All American Marine (1010 Hilton Ave, Bellingham) and walk a short path to “H Street beach”. Following an EPA protocol, we will sift through the top layer of sand and sort out the microplastics. The data will be uploaded to a national database. We expect it to take about 2 hours, but feel free to join for as little or long as you can.
