Meet your neighbors who want to make a difference at our monthly Climate Activist Meetings. Get the latest updates and plan actions for accelerating a just transition to a clean energy economy, while protecting the Salish Sea and people from hazardous fossil fuel shipment expansions. We’re meeting at Goods Local Brews (2620 Northwest Ave, Bellingham. Family friendly!) from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 23rd.
This month:
- Whatcom’s Comprehensive Plan update and what it means for growth in our region and climate resilience
- Bellingham Climate Action Fund, public hearing on June 20th
- State action to make new homes/residential buildings use clean, efficient heat pumps and other fossil-free appliances
- Induction cooking demos at the Bellingham Farmers Market this summer!
