Bellingham Bay Restoration Walking Tour (Whatcom Water Week)

September 15, 2021 @ 12:00 pm 1:30 pm

Aerial view of Bellingham Bay. Mount Baker sits in the background.

The Bellingham Waterfront is being transformed before our very eyes. This land was once dominated by heavy industries that were largely inaccessible to the public but now people stroll through this area visiting a park, bike pump track, cafe, and pub. Are you curious to know what these past industries were and how the cleanup process is being carried out?

Join us on this Bellingham Bay Waterfront walking tour and learn from local experts about this remarkable piece of land — past, present, and future. The tour will start and stop at Waypoint Park on Wednesday, September 15th from 12:00 pm–1:30 pm. Look for the blue canopies. All are welcome!
