1999 Olympic Pipeline Tragedy: Remembering 25 Years
June 1 - June 10
On June 10, 1999, the Olympic pipeline ruptured and spilled nearly 250,000 gallons of gasoline into Whatcom Creek which ignited and killed two boys and a young man in Bellingham. Join us in learning and remembering with a tour, film screening, creek restoration work party, and community gathering during the week of the 25th year since the tragedy.
Events are in partnership with the Pipeline Safety Trust, the City of Bellingham, Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association and Whatcom Land Trust.
