Join us for a tour of the Harris Shipyard cleanup site on Bellingham’s waterfront! It’s a great way to connect with parts of our waterfront that have been inaccessible to the public, learn about them, and give feedback on plans to clean up and restore them. This tour coincides with the public comment period for the site’s consent decree from February 10th to March 12th. Learn more about Harris Shipyard and submit your comments to the Department of Ecology here.

Harris Shipyard site info
Harris Shipyard has been a busy site along a working waterway for over 100 years — but it’s still contaminated from past industrial uses like shipbuilding. Contaminants metals and petroleum products, and is currently in the process of being cleaned up.
Your input can help shape the future of this piece of our waterfront! The Department of Ecology wants your input on the cleanup process.
