If you live here in Northwest Washington, or even if you just love to visit — you know how special it is. From stunning coastlines to dramatic mountain ridge lines, from kelp forests to cedar groves, from vibrant downtowns to bucolic farmlands, Northwest Washington is a place of deep and unrivaled beauty.

Your connection to this region’s lands, waters and communities is as unique as it is powerful. They mean something to you. And when something means something to you, you care for it. You stand up to protect it.

That’s why we’re launching our inaugural Give Like You Live Here campaign: a 48-hour fundraiser for local environmental advocacy and action, taking place November 12-13th. We’re setting out to raise $15,000 from grassroots donations in just two days. Thanks to some generous supporters, all gifts toward our Give Like You Live Here goal will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $15,000.

As part of this fundraising push, we’re hosting a happy hour at Aslan Depot on November 12th from 5 to 7pm. Join us for a post-election celebration of this fall’s grassroots advocacy and help us raise funds for the critical work ahead.

Three Ways to Take Action

1. Give! Giving online is quick, secure and easy.

2. Join us in person for happy hour at Aslan Depot, 5-7pm on November 12th. Well celebrate the hard work put forth by staff and volunteers to defend Washington’s climate progress this fall, and raise funds toward our Give Like You Live Here campaign goal.

3. Share our new video with three friends who you think should know about RE Sources.

As a regional environmental advocacy nonprofit, RE Sources exists to give you the tools and information you need to protect the place you love. We’ve tackled the region’s most pressing environmental challenges for 40 years, from opening the RE Store to divert building material from the landfill to successfully protecting and conserving hundreds of acres of mature forest in Whatcom County just last year. We’re poised to lead local action against climate change, water pollution, and threats to our region’s forests. But as a grassroots organization, our work depends on grassroots funding.

Transitioning to clean energy, slashing rampant water pollution and preparing our communities for climate impacts all require urgent, thoughtful action. Regional groups like RE Sources have the on-the-ground knowledge and relationships to make it happen, but only if we have the funds to do the work. Be assured your dollars in support of RE Sources will be reinvested locally, amplifying critical environmental efforts, including advocacy, education and the community-building programs of The RE Store. Change starts here, where your voice, your vote and your dollars make the biggest impact.

If you benefit from clean air, swimmable beaches, local food, ample green space, and everything else in our region’s lands and waters provide, it’s time to give Like You Live Here. This region is worth protecting.

Can’t wait until November 12th to give? Give Early! You can check back and visit our campaign page during our campaign November 12th and 13th to see our progress toward our goal.
